The stable has got the final roof layer and now we start the custom made interior. Just in time for the storm tomorrow, and Christmas. Josef and Mary are maybe looking for shelter…? The farm’s new goat has also arrived. He is named Ossian and spreads a wonderful sense of goat cheese over the farm. Such a lovely Christmas goat, isn’t he?
Ecotopia is closed December and January. After the upbringing of this place these are holy months to us. Our first vacation in three years has begun and I take the day as it comes. No agenda, no office hours… just being around. Unfortunately we have had to reject requests like honeymoon, conference, lecture, wwoofers and study visits. Rejecting someone is never fun but on the other side it can be an open door for new possibilities for both parts. And outside of Ecotopia times are hectic. Christmas rush and gift hunting is raging. How wonderful to not be part of it!
